Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate profit margin for lawn care?
Subtract your total costs (labor, materials, and overhead) from the price you charge to get profit, then divide profit by the price to get your margin percentage. This calculator does it for you.
What is the difference between margin and markup?
Margin is profit as a percentage of the price you charge; markup is profit as a percentage of your cost. A 50% markup is only a 33% margin - mixing them up is a common way to under-price.
